Position Title: Project Coordinator

General Position Summary
The Palestinian Employment Fund (PEF) is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator with a proven track record in employability and employment interventions, particularly in the private sector, on-the-job training, and coaching. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the overall management and implementation of the project, ensuring that outcomes are achieved within the designated timeframe. This includes maintaining high-quality delivery of project activities, ensuring compliance with PEF and donor regulations (procurement, finance, and administration), and producing accurate and timely documentation.
Responsibilities and Duties
Qualifications
§ Bachelor's Degree preferably in the field of Project Management, Business Administration, Social Studies, Development Studies, research or engineering.
§ Demonstrated knowledge of project management aspects.
§ Minimum 5 years of applied experience in coordinating donor-funded interventions, in a managerial position that includes designing, implementing, and overseeing monitoring and evaluation tasks. Working with EU-funded projects is an asset.
§ At least one year of experience working with the private sector is preferable
Skills
§ Demonstrated ability to manage self-employment and community development projects (design, donor proposals, implementation, M&E, partnership building), preferably in conflict-affected settings.
§ Solid experience in financial management, including budget planning, monitoring, reporting, and compliance with donor requirements.
§ Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and handle competing priorities.
§ Excellent communication, representation, networking, negotiation, and administrative skills.
§ Empathy and sensitivity in addressing the needs of project participants.
§ Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing circumstances.
§ Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
§ Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
§ Good knowledge of the socio-economic and political context of the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
§ Proficiency in MS Office and data management tools; familiarity with project planning, visualization, and analysis software.
